A Little About Me . . .

I'm Michele Nesworthy, lampworker and jewelry designer from Central Florida - the Beach side!!  Being the designer, flameworker, photographer, web designer and computer hog takes much out of my day!!  When I'm not creating, I share every moment left with my adoring husband, 3 beautiful daughters and 3 loyal dogs or in out in our orchid and water gardens.  Who has time to work?  Where would I be without my passion - GLASS ART!!

Glass has been my passion since 2003, but I've been creating all my life!   Before my glass days, I spent 8 years creating One-of-a-Kind Mohair Bears with a heart and soul  - from scratch.  From drawing the patterns to sculpting the faces, every bit of my bears are unique in style and character.  But I was always wanting to try new mediums of art and design, I found GLASS!  LOTS OF IT!!!

 I've been in love with beads for as long as I can remember, so it was an easy transition for me, having made jewelry for many years. I started to make my own lampwork beads when I just couldn't find that perfect bead in that perfect color.  I'm very proud to say I'm a self-taught flameworker and take great pride in all my work. Glass art is a highly meditative process and it just keeps getting better! Art is not about perfection but about expression! I'm sure all artists agree, the process of progression is neverending . . .

After briefly being entranced by a friend's flame - I got the tools, all the books I could find and just dove in!! I don't recommend this for those without an extremely supportive husband! My husband and been my rock and biggest supporter!

This Media of Art has connected me to so many terrific people in a way that has made my heart fulfilled! There's nothing better than sharing my experience others! Thank to all of you who've taken an interest in what I love and helping me support my family!
